Country Woods Family Child Care is a small center out of my home with just 6 children. Country Woods family Child Care is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm year round. I take children ages 2-5 years old. I'm an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter and Lieutenant with the Epping Fire Department since 2003, and have been working with children for over 20 years. I'm licensed with the State of NH Child Care Licensing, have my Child Development Associate (CDA), and several collage credits in Early Childhood Education.
We understand how hard it can be to leave your child, and we want you to feel welcome. You are your child's most important teacher and we want you to be involved with the care your child receives. Our door is always open for you to come and spend time with your child. Maybe read a story, play outside, or pop in for a quick lunch.
Our mixed age group environment is geared to the needs of each individual child. Infants need to be nurtured as they form attachments and trust, toddlers are mobile and explorative. Younger children are challenged by older children and often engage in more complex activities than when they play with same age peers.
Preschool children enjoy a structured environment where important social skills are taught. School readiness activities are important for this age. Older children learn to adapt their language and social skills to relate with younger children, often learning patience, compassion, and problem solving skills.
No matter the age of your child, or their development level, we pay attention to their interests and base learning around that.
